His solo recordings Pulse oximeter

Turning moments into art.

Gav has entered three of his solo recordings — under his occasional Ultrasoundz moniker — to a competition run by Soundtrax on Muzu.tv with a chance to win the opportunity to score a new British movie entitled "Relative Desire". On 19 November a shortlist will be drawn up for the judging panel of the 50 most viewed tracks entered to the contest so, to help Gav make that list, we'd be very grateful if you could spare a few moments to check out each track and, if you like them, click 'like'!

Gav says: "These three tracks are instrumental versions of some songs I recorded at home a few years ago. I guess I was going for a kind of atmosphere that I thought suited the footage in this competition. Pulse oximeter Who knows..?" Check out the following tracks now...

 Here's where I'm at May 2006

Long time no news - well it's not that I haven't been busy, more that I haven't finished anything yet! Which sounds kinda lame I know but it's the truth frustrating though it is. Work on the COLVEX album is still ploughing forth - bar a few tweaks all my drum parts are now 'down' along with Scott's bass lines and so the bulk of the workload now sits firmly on Simon and Adam's shoulders (not that I'm putting any pressure on guys...). Pulse oximeter  I've been working hard on the sleeve design and a new website for the band - we had an excellent photo shoot for the cover - all will be revealved soon but let's just say fo now top brownie points go to the make-up dept!

As for my own material , earlier this year I started rehearsing with a couple of singers but for one reason or another (mainly my energy levels or lack thereof) things didn't quite take off. But if there is a big-picture I'd still love to return to the project - I know there's a truly epic album in there somewhere!!
